شدد وزير المالية الإسرائيلي بتسلئيل سموتريش على أن إسرائيل لن تنسحب من قطاع غزة “حتى إن كان هناك اتفاق آخر بشأن الرهائن”، داعيا الإسرائيليين إلى تقبل كلمة “الاحتلال”.
وقال سموتريش: “نحن أخيرا بصدد احتلال قطاع غزة، وسنتوقف عن الخوف من كلمة احتلال”، وذلك خلال حديثه مع القناة 12، على هامش مؤتمر نظمته صحيفة بشيفاع اليمينية.
وتابع: “نحن أخيرا بصدد السيطرة على جميع المساعدات الإنسانية، حتى لا تتحول إلى إمدادات لحماس. ونحن بصدد فصل حماس عن السكان، وتطهير القطاع، وإعادة الرهائن، وهزيمة حماس”.
وأضاف الوزير اليميني المتطرف أنه “بمجرد بدء الهجوم الجديد في غزة، لن يكون هناك أي انسحاب من الأراضي التي نحتلها، حتى مقابل الرهائن”.
واستطرد قائلا إن “الطريقة الوحيدة لتحرير الرهائن هي إخضاع حماس.. وأي انسحاب سيؤدي إلى تكرار ما حدث في 7 أكتوبر”.
وتابع سموتريش: “بمجرد أن نحتل ونبقى (في غزة)، يمكننا الحديث عن السيادة.. لكنني لم أطالب بإدراج هذا الموضوع ضمن أهداف الحرب. أولا، سنهزم حماس ونلغي وجودها”.
