ينشر الأمير هاري في 10 يناير المقبل مذكراته المنتظرة في كتاب بعنوان “سبير” (Spare)، بعد أربعة أشهر فقط على وفاة الملكة إليزابيث الثانية وتنصيب والده تشارلز ملكا لبريطانيا، على ما أعلنته دار “بنغوين راندوم هاوس” للنشر.
وجاء في تغريدة لدار النشر: “يسعدنا أن نعلن عن (نشر) قصة دوق ساسكس الأمير هاري الشخصية جداً والقوية عاطفياً”.
ووُصف الكتاب على الموقع الإلكتروني الذي خصصته له دار النشر بأنه نافذة مفتوحة على رد فعل الأمير على وفاة والدته الأميرة ديانا، وكيفية تأثير هذه المأساة على حياته في ما بعد.
وأذهل هاري وزوجته ميغن النظام الملكي البريطاني بإبتعادهما عن العائلة المالكة في مطلع عام 2020 وإنتقالهما للعيش في ولاية كاليفورنيا الأميركية، مما أثار ضجة واسعة.
وخلال مقابلة إعلامية في مارس 2021، إتهم الزوجان العائلة المالكة بالعنصرية.. ومن أبرز هذه التصريحات، كشف هاري وميغن أن فردا لم يسمياه في العائلة الملكية تساءل عن لون بشرة إبنهما أرتشي قبل ولادته، بما أن والدته خلاسية.
وأدت خطوتهما هذه إلى توتر علاقة هاري بأخيه الأكبر ويليام الذي بات وريث العرش البريطاني، ووالدهما تشارلز الذي أصبح ملكاً.
يعيش هاري وميغن حالياً مع طفليهما أرشي وليليبيت في كاليفورنيا ، وكان هاري أعلن في تموز/يوليو 2021 أنه يعمل على نشر مذكراته التي سيروي فيها “أخطاءه” و”الدروس التي تعلمها” طيلة حياته.. وقال “أكتب المذكرات ليس بصفتي الأمير منذ ولادتي، ولكن بصفتي الرجل الذي أصبحت عليه الآن”.
وتابع “لقد إعتمرتُ قبعات كثيرة على مر السنين، بالمعنى الحقيقي والمجازي، وآمل أن أتمكن من خلال سرد قصتي، عن التقلبات والأخطاء والدروس التي تعلمتها، من المساعدة في إظهار أن لدينا جميعاً قواسم مشتركة أكثر مما نظن، أياً كانت أصولنا”.. وأعرب عن “سعادته لأنّ الناس سيقرأون رواية (عن حياته) صادقة ومطابقة تماماً للواقع”.
وأشارت دار النشر إلى أنّ الكتاب سيُنشر في المملكة المتحدة وايرلندا وأستراليا ونيوزيلندا والهند وجنوب إفريقيا، وسيعود ريع هذه المذكرات التي ستُنشر في 16 لغة للجمعيات الخيرية البريطانية، بحسب دار النشر.
