قدمت الحكومة الكويتية إستقالتها لأمير البلاد الشيخ نواف الأحمد الجابر الصباح .
وذكرت وكالة الأنباء الكويتية ( كونا ) أن أمير البلاد إستقبل بدار يمامة اليوم الاثنين الشيخ صباح خالد الحمد الصباح رئيس مجلس الوزراء حيث رفع إلى الأمير كتاب إستقالة الحكومة.
وتعتبر هذه الحكومة هي الثالثة لرئيس الوزراء الشيخ صباح الخالد الحمد الصباح .
وإعتمد مجلس الوزراء مساء الأحد مرسوم العفو عن رموز المعارضة في الخارج في إجتماع إستثنائي، مؤكداً أنه على ثقة أن هذه الخطوة سوف تهيئ الأجواء نحو تعاون مثمر بين السلطتين التشريعية والتنفيذية وفق الأسس الدستورية، وتزيل كل العوائق التي من شأنها تعطيل التنمية والإنجاز وتهيئ أجواء العمل كفريق واحد للارتقاء بكل ما فيه مصلحة الوطن والمواطن.
ويقوم أمير الكويت بالعمل على تجاوز الخلافات بين الحكومة ومجلس الأمة، والتي أدت إلى تعطيل الجلسات وذلك من خلال توجيهات أميرية بعمل حوار بين السلطتين التشريعية والتنفيذية، والتي أثمرت عن توافق بين الحكومة ومجلس الأمة على عودة النواب السابقين المعارضين في الخارج .
وتأتي إستقالة الحكومة الكويتية تفاديا لسحب الثقة بها بعد تقديم حوالي سبعة إستجوابات لمعظم وزرائها .
