للمرة الأولى منذ عام 2005، وصلت سفينة تحمل مساعدات إنسانية إلى غزة عبر الممر البحري مع قبرص والذي تقرر استحداثه لمواجهة الأزمة المستفحلة في القطاع.
تحمل السفينة “أوبن آرمز” نحو 200 طن من الأرز والدقيق والمعلبات التي سيتم توزيعها في القطاع الفلسطيني المحاصر من خلال منظمة المطبخ المركزي العالمي “وورلد سنترال كيتشن” التي أسسها الطاهي الإسباني الأميركي الشهير خوسيه أندريس.
وتقوم المؤسسة الخيرية بتجهيز رصيف في غزة لتوصيل المساعدات يبلغ طوله حوالي 60 مترا، حسبما قال مؤسسها خوسيه أندريس في منشور على منصة إكس على شبكة التواصل الاجتماعي في وقت متأخر أمس الأربعاء.
وقد رصدت السفينة “أوبن آرمز” الإسبانية الخيرية الآتية من قبرص فجر الجمعة قبالة سواحل غزة، وفق موقع تتبع حركة الملاحة “مارين ترافيك”.
وسفينة أندريس هي المحاولة الأولى لتوصيل الغذاء عبر ممر بحري أعلنت عنه في وقت سابق من هذا الشهر الولايات المتحدة والمفوضية الأوروبية والإمارات العربية المتحدة وقبرص وبريطانيا.
بنى أندريس إسمه من خلال مجموعة مميزة من كتب الطبخ وسلسلة مطاعم حول العالم، لكنه عُرِفَ أيضا بولعه بالسفر لمناطق الكوارث والصراعات حاملا مواد الإغاثة الغذائية مع منظمة “المطبخ المركزي العالمي” التي شارك في تأسيسها.
ولد أندريس في إسبانيا وغادر منزل والديه في سن الخامسة عشرة، حيث بدء العمل في مجال الضيافة.
ألتحق بعدها بإحدى مدارس الطهي، حيث تلقى النصائح تحت إشراف طاهٍ بارز، قبل أن ينتقل إلى الولايات المتحدة في سن 21 عاما.

في عام 2010 أسس منظمة “المطبخ المركزي العالمي” وقبلها كان يظهر كثيرا في تصريحات يتحدث فيها علنا عن قضايا الجوع، والسمنة لدى الأطفال، ودعم الأعمال التجارية الزراعية، والحد الأدنى للأجور، وإصلاح الهجرة.
أصبح الطاهي ذو الأصول الإسبانية مواطنا أميركيا في عام 2013، وهو متزوج من باتريشيا فرنانديز دي لا كروز ولديهما ثلاث بنات.
