قال البطريرك الماروني اللبناني بشارة بطرس الراعي اليوم الأحد إن الحكومة يجب أن توقف أي تدخل في عمل القضاء بعد أن تسببت دعاوى في وقف التحقيق في الانفجار الضخم الذي وقع العام الماضي في مرفأ بيروت.
وتم تجميد التحقيق يوم الاثنين الماضي عندما أقام وزير سابق مطلوب للإستجواب بشبهة الإهمال دعوى يطعن فيها على حيادية القاضي الذي يقود التحقيق طارق بيطار.
وجاءت هذه الخطوة بعد حملة تشويه من جانب النخبة السياسية اللبنانية لبيطار وتحذير جماعة حزب الله المتحالفة مع إيران من أنه سيُعزل.
وقد صرح البطريرك الذي ينتقد جماعة حزب الله بشدة إن الضغط السياسي على بيطار أضعف سلطة القضاء ، ويمكن أن يهدد المساعدات الدولية للبنان.. وقال :”لا نَستطيع الإصرار على التحقيقِ في جريمةِ المرفأ، ونَمتنعَ عن الدفاعِ عن المحقّقِ العدلي والقضاء .. صحيح أنّه لا يجوز للحكومةِ التدخل في شؤونِ القضاء، لكن واجبها التدخّل لوقفِ كل تدخلِ في شؤونِ القضاء”.
وأودى الانفجار الذي وقع في الرابع من أغسطس 2020 في مرفأ بيروت، والذي نتج عن كمية ضخمة من نترات الأمونيوم كانت مخزنة بشكل غير آمن، بحياة أكثر من 200 شخص، لكن بعد مرور أكثر من عام لم يُحاسب أحد.
وبيطار ثاني قاض يتوقف التحقيق برئاسته بسبب ضغوط الجماعات القوية في لبنان حيث يعزى غياب مستوى عال من المحاسبة إلى الفساد الممنهج وجمود الحكم والانهيار الاقتصادي.. وتم عزل قاضي التحقيق السابق فادي الصوان سلف بيطار في فبراير الماضي لأسباب مماثلة.
وفي الشهر الماضي إتهم حسن نصر الله زعيم حزب الله بيطار بالعمل بالسياسة لكنه قال إنه لا يطالب بعزله على الفور. وأوردت تقارير أن مسؤولا كبيرا في الجماعة هدد في وقت لاحق بعزل بيطار.
وقال مصدر قضائي إن القضاء يجمع معلومات عن التهديد ، ولم يتسن الحصول على تعليق من مسؤولي حزب الله ووزير العدل.
وقال رئيس الوزراء نجيب ميقاتي إنه يأمل في أن يبقى بيطار في عمله مضيفا أن إجراءات أمنية إتخذت بسبب التهديدات لكنه قال إن تجميد التحقيق أمر يرجع إلى القضاء.
