قال الرئيس الروسي، فلاديمير بوتين، في تصريحات أذيعت، الأحد، إنه لم تكن هناك حاجة لاستخدام الأسلحة النووية في أوكرانيا وإنه يأمل ألا تنشأ أسباب تدفع إلى ذلك.
وفي جزء من مقابلة مع التلفزيون الروسي الرسمي نشر على تطبيق تيليغرام، قال بوتين إن روسيا لديها القوة والوسائل اللازمة لوضع “نهاية منطقية” للصراع في أوكرانيا.
وكان الرئيس الروسي قد أعلن، الإثنين، وقف إطلاق نار مؤقت خلال العطلات الرسمية من 8 إلى 11 مايو تزامنا مع احتفالات موسكو بيوم النصر في الحرب العالمية الثانية.
وأوضح الكرملين في بيان: “ترى روسيا أن على الجانب الأوكراني أن يحذو حذوها.. وفي حال انتهاك الجانب الأوكراني للهدنة، سترد القوات المسلحة الروسية ردا مناسبا وفعالا”.
وأشار البيان إلى أن: “موسكو مستعدة لإجراء مفاوضات سلام دون شروط مسبقة للقضاء على الأسباب الجذرية للأزمة والتفاعل البناء مع الشركاء الدوليين”.
وشكّلت عودة ترامب إلى البيت الأبيض في يناير، نقطة تحوّل في النزاع بين روسيا وأوكرانيا.
ومنذ ذلك الحين، تسعى الولايات المتحدة التي تعدّ الداعم الرئيسي لأوكرانيا، إلى طي صفحة هذا الصراع في أسرع وقت.
وكانت وكالة تاس الرسمية الروسية للأنباء قد نقلت الشهر الماضي عن سيرغي شويغو، سكرتير مجلس الأمن الروسي، قوله إن روسيا تحتفظ بالحق في استخدام الأسلحة النووية حال مواجهتها عدوانا من الدول الغربية.
وأشار شويغو إلى التعديلات التي أُدخلت العام الماضي على العقيدة النووية الروسية والتي تسمح لموسكو باستخدام الأسلحة النووية في حال تعرض روسيا أو جارتها وحليفتها بيلاروسيا لهجوم، بما في ذلك بالأسلحة التقليدية.
