رشح حزب الشعب الجمهوري المعارض في تركيا أكرم إمام أوغلو رئيس بلدية إسطنبول، والذي أوقف عن العمل وسُجن الأحد، رسميا للانتخابات الرئاسية التي ستجرى في عام 2028، حسب ما أفاد متحدث بإسم الحزب.
وأجرى حزب الشعب الذي يعدّ قوة المعارضة الرئيسية انتخابات تمهيدية الأحد كان إمام أوغلو المرشّح الوحيد فيها.
وتنظر أحزاب في المعارضة التركية إلى إمام أوغلو (53 عاما) على نطاق واسع باعتباره أبرز منافس للرئيس رجب طيب أردوغان.
وقال زعيم حزب الشعب الجمهوري أوزغور أوزيل إن “1,6 مليون من أصل 1,7 مليون عضو أدلوا بأصواتهم لمصلحة إمام أوغلو ليكون مرشحهم في الانتخابات الرئاسية المقبلة”.
وأضاف أوزيل أن ملايين الأشخاص أدلوا أيضا بأصوات رمزية لمصلحة إمام أوغلو في صناديق اقتراع أقيمت تحت مسمى صناديق “التضامن” في أنحاء البلاد، إلى جانب التصويت الرسمي لأعضاء الحزب.
واعتبر أوزيل أن هذا التصويت الرمزي “قياس على مدى شعبية إمام أوغلو بين جميع الأتراك، وليس فقط بين أتباع الحزب وأولئك الذين يقيمون في إسطنبول”.
نقل إلى السجن
ويوم الأحد، نُقل إمام أوغلو مع عدد من المتهمين إلى سجن مرمرة الذي يعرف أيضا بإسم “سيليفري” غربي إسطنبول، حسب ما أفاد حزب الشعب الذي ينتمي إليه ووسائل إعلام تركية.
وكانت وزارة الداخلية التركية أعلنت الأحد تعليق عمل رئيس بلدية إسطنبول الكبرى إمام أوغلو بعد صدور قرار قضائي بسجنه، وذلك بسبب اتهامات مرتبطة بالتعامل غير القانوني مع بيانات شخصية ورشى وفساد، فضلا عن تأسيس منظمة ارتكبت مخالفات وجرائم.
وفي سياق متصل، دعت ولاية إسطنبول مجلسي بلديتي إسطنبول الكبرى ومنطقة بيليك دوزو إلى الاجتماع يوم الأربعاء لانتخاب وكيلين لإدارة البلديتين بعد إيقاف رئيسيهما أكرم إمام أوغلو ومراد تشاليك عن مزاولة مهامهما إثر قرار قضائي بحبسهما على ذمة التحقيق بتهم فساد، تم نفيها من الحزب ومن أكرم اوغلو.
وأوضحت الولاية، في بيان يوم الأحد، أن رئيس بلدية إسطنبول الكبرى ورئيس بلدية بيليك دوزو تم إيقافهما عن مزاولة مهامهما كتدبير مؤقت من قبل وزارة الداخلية التركية.
وأُلقي القبض على إمام أوغلو الأربعاء الماضي بتهم فساد ومساعدة جماعة إرهابية، وقد نفى التهم المنسوبة إليه، واصفا إياها بأنها “اتهامات وافتراءات لا يمكن تصورها”.
