الاجتماع يأتي بعد أيام من طرح الرئيس الأمريكي دونالد ترامب مقترحا بنقل فلسطينيي غزة إلى دول مجاورة مثل مصر والأردن، وهو ما لاقى رفضا من هذين البلدين، وأطراف عربية ودولية أخرى.
كما يأتي بعد يومين من سريان قرار الحكومة الإسرائيلية حظر أنشطة الأونروا في إسرائيل والقدس الشرقية المحتلة، اعتبارا من الخميس، والذي يحمل “عواقب كارثية” على حياة ومستقبل اللاجئين الفلسطينيين.
وقالت وكالة الأنباء المصرية الرسمية إن اجتماع القاهرة سيشارك فيه وزراء خارجية مصر بدر عبد العاطي، والأردن أيمن الصفدي، والسعودية فيصل بن فرحان، وقطر محمد بن عبد الرحمن، والإمارات عبد الله بن زايد.
إضافة إلى أمين سر اللجنة التنفيذية لمنظمة التحرير الفلسطينية حسين الشيخ، والأمين العام لجامعة الدول العربية أحمد أبو الغيط.
ومنذ 25 يناير/ كانون الثاني الجاري، يروج ترامب لمقترح نقل فلسطينيي غزة إلى دول مجاورة مثل مصر والأردن، متذرعا بـ”عدم وجود أماكن صالحة للسكن في قطاع غزة”، الذي أبادته إسرائيل طوال نحو 16 شهرا.
وتجنبت الردود المصرية الرسمية منذ اقتراح ترامب الإشارة إليه مباشرة، وأكدت بشكل عام الرفض القاطع لتهجير الفلسطينيين لبلادهم، وذلك وفق بيان لوزارة الخارجية الأحد، وكلمة لرئيس مجلس النواب حنفي جبالي الاثنين، وكلمة للوزير عبد العاطي بمجلس حقوق الإنسان الثلاثاء.
والأربعاء، شدد الرئيس المصري عبد الفتاح السيسي، في مؤتمر صحفي بالقاهرة، على أن “ترحيل أو تهجير الشعب الفلسطيني ظلم لا يمكن أن نشارك فيه”، مؤكدا عزم بلاده على العمل مع ترامب للتوصل إلى سلام قائم على حل الدولتين.
وأضيفت إلى ذلك، مواقف رافضة لمقترح ترامب من جهات عدة، بينها الأردن والعراق وفرنسا وألمانيا، وجامعة الدول العربية ومنظمة التعاون الإسلامي، والأمم المتحدة، والاتحاد الأوروبي.
