أعلنت مالي والنيجر وبوركينا فاسو أنها قررت استدعاء سفرائها من الجزائر، التي اتهموها بإسقاط طائرة مسيّرة تابعة للجيش المالي أواخر مارس/آذار الماضي.
وقالت الدول الثلاث -في بيان مشترك- يوم الأحد إن “هيئة رؤساء تجمع دول الساحل تقرر استدعاء سفراء الدول الأعضاء المعتمدين في الجزائر للتشاور”.
وفي بيان منفصل، أعلنت وزارة الخارجية في مالي انسحاب باماكو من لجنة رئاسة أركان الجيوش المشتركة مع الجزائر على خلفية إسقاط المسيّرة قرب الحدود المشتركة.
وقالت الخارجية المالية إنه بعد إجراء تحقيق، خلصت مالي إلى أن الطائرة المسيّرة أُسقطت نتيجة ما وصفته بعمل عدائي من قبل الجزائر.
وكانت وزارة الدفاع الجزائرية أعلنت مطلع الشهر الجاري أن الجيش الجزائري أسقط طائرة استطلاع مسيّرة مسلحة انتهكت المجال الجوي للبلاد بالقرب من بلدة تين زاوتين الحدودية.
وذكر الجيش المالي حينها أن إحدى طائراته المسيرة تحطمت أثناء قيامها بمهمة مراقبة روتينية.
