تعتزم 5 نساء يتهمن المالك السابق لمتجر “هارودز” محمد الفايد بالاعتداء عليهن جنسيا رفع دعوى مدنية من أجل الحصول على تعويضات من ميراث رجل الأعمال السابق الذي توفي عام 2023، حسب ما أعلن مكتب المحاماة الموكل عنهن.
وأفاد مكتب “لي داي” للمحاماة في بيان بأن “رسائل مطالبات مالية قدمت نيابة عن 5 نساء كن يعملن كمربيات ومضيفات طيران لصالح الفايد بين عامي 1995 و2012”.
وأوضحت أن هذا الإجراء هو “الخطوة الرسمية الأولى” لدعوى قضائية ترمي إلى الحصول على تعويضات، حيث تطالب المدعيات بفتح تحقيق عام.
وبحسب البيان، كانت النساء الخمس يعملن لدى شركة الطيران الخاصة “فاير” (المملوكة للملياردير) أو لدى شركات أخرى تابعة لعائلة الفايد، ووقعن ضحايا لـ”اعتداءات جنسية خطرة ومضايقات وسوء معاملة”.
وأشار البيان أيضا إلى “عنف لفظي” و”تهديدات”، من دون تقديم مزيد من التوضيحات.
ونقل البيان عن المحامي ريتشارد ميران قوله “لقد اتخذنا هذا الإجراء نيابة عن موكلاتنا اللواتي وقعن ضحايا للاعتداء من جانب الفايد خلال العمل معه أو لدى شركاته الأخرى غير هارودز”.
وأضاف “من المهم أن يتحمل ورثة تركته أيضا المسؤولية القانونية عن الاعتداءات الواسعة النطاق التي ارتكبت ضد أشخاص ربما لم يتعاملوا مطلقا مع المتجر الشهير”.
وتضاعفت الشهادات ضد المالك السابق لـ”هارودز” في أعقاب وثائقي عرضته هيئة الإذاعة البريطانية في سبتمبر يتهم فيه الفايد بالاغتصاب والاعتداء الجنسي، حيث أفادت شرطة لندن بأن أكثر من 90 امرأة تواصلت معها آنذاك.
وقد توفي محمد الفايد في أغسطس 2023 عن 94 عاما، ولن يكون من الممكن التقدّم بأي دعوى جنائية ضده.
