ذكر تقرير أممي أن سوريا خسرت نحو 800 مليار دولار من الناتج المحلي الإجمالي خلال 14 سنة من الصراع.
وأشار التقرير إلى ضرورة زيادة معدل النمو الاقتصادي بسرعة خلال العقد المقبل لضمان التعافي.
جاء ذلك في تقرير صادر عن برنامج الأمم المتحدة الإنمائي (UNDP) بعنوان “آثار الصراع في سوريا: اقتصاد مدمّر، فقر واسع، وطريق صعب نحو التعافي الاجتماعي والاقتصادي”، تناول فيه التداعيات الاجتماعية والاقتصادية للحرب السورية.
وبحسب التقرير، فإن الصراع الذي دام في سوريا 14 سنة، أدى إلى تأخر التقدم الاقتصادي والاجتماعي في البلاد بنحو 40 عاما.
وأوضح أنه خلال سنوات الحرب، انخفض الناتج المحلي الإجمالي لسوريا بنسبة 50 بالمئة، وارتفع معدل الفقر من 33 بالمئة قبل الحرب إلى 90 بالمئة حالياً، بينما بلغت نسبة الفقر المدقع 66 بالمئة.
ولفت التقرير إلى أن 75 بالمئة من السكان يحتاجون إلى مساعدات إنسانية، تشمل الرعاية الصحية والتعليم والوظائف والأمن الغذائي والمياه والطاقة والمأوى.
وأشار إلى أن إنتاج الطاقة في البلاد انخفض بنسبة 80 بالمئة، وتضرر 70 بالمئة من محطات توليد الكهرباء، ما أدى إلى انخفاض قدرة الشبكة الوطنية بنسبة 75 بالمئة.
وبحسب التقرير، فإن الاقتصاد السوري يحتاج إلى 55 عاماً للوصول إلى مستوياته قبل الحرب إذا استمر النمو الحالي عند 1.3 بالمئة.
