كشف تحقيق لصحيفة “يديعوت أحرنوت” العبرية، الجمعة، إقدام 6 عسكريين إسرائيليين على الأقل، على الانتحار نتيجة سوء أوضاعهم النفسية بعد مشاركتهم مدة طويلة في القتال بقطاع غزة وجنوب لبنان.
وذكر التحقيق أن 6 عسكريين على الأقل أقدموا على الانتحار، خلال الأشهر الأخيرة، بسبب أوضاعهم النفسية التي تدهورت جراء مشاركتهم بالقتال مدة طويلة.
وقالت الصحيفة إن “التوقعات تشير أن عدد المنتحرين في صفوف الجيش أكبر من ذلك، لكن الجيش يرفض نشر أرقام رسمية عن الموضوع حتى الآن، رغم أنه وعد بنشرها بحلول نهاية العام الجاري”.
وبحسب التحقيق، لجأ آلاف الجنود إلى عيادات الصحة النفسية التي أسسها الجيش، إضافة للتوجه إلى مختصين نفسيين ميدانيين.
ويشير التحقيق إلى أن “نحو ثلث المتأثرين نفسيا جراء مشاركتهم بالقتال، يعانون اضطراب ما بعد الصدمة (PTSD)”.
وأوضحت التقديرات الواردة بالتحقيق أن “عدد المتضررين نفسيا قد يتجاوز عدد المصابين جسديا جراء الحرب”.
ويتوقع خبراء عسكريون أن تظهر الأبعاد الحقيقية لهذه الأزمة النفسية مع عودة الجيش إلى الحياة شبه الطبيعية بعد انتهاء العمليات القتالية.
وفي مارس/ آذار الماضي، صرح رئيس قسم الصحة النفسية في الجيش الإسرائيلي لوسيان ليئور لصحيفة “هآرتس”، أن نحو 1700 جندي خضعوا لعلاج نفسي.
كما تحدثت العديد من التقارير الإسرائيلية عن آلاف المصابين نفسيا في صفوف الجيش، جراء المشاركة مدة طويلة في القتال بقطاع غزة وجنوب لبنان.
