جدد الدكتور سالم بن محمد المالك، المدير العام لمنظمة العالم الإسلامي للتربية والعلوم والثقافة (إيسيسكو)، التأكيد على التزام المنظمة بدعم المبادرات التي تعمل على دمج الثقافة في جهود مكافحة آثار التغييرات المناخية لتحقيق الاستدامة البيئية، موضحا أن المواجهة الناجحة لأزمة المناخ تستدعي تحولا في السلوك والقيم والوعي الجماعي للمجتمعات، وأن للثقافة علاقة محورية بالسلوك المستنير المعزز بالقيم الأخلاقية.
جاء ذلك في كلمته، يوم الثلاثاء (19 نوفمبر 2024)، خلال جلسة نقاشية رفيعة المستوى بـ(كوب 29)، تحت عنوان “الثقافة من أجل المناخ ..إشراك الشباب لإحداث تغيير بالممارسات”، التي شاركت الإيسيسكو في تنظيمها مع مؤسسة حيدر علييف، والجمعية العامة للحوار الدولي من أجل العمل البيئي بأذربيجان (IDEA)، ووزارة الثقافة الأذربيجانية، وشهدت حضورا رفيع المستوى، ضم سمو الأميرة دانا فراس، رئيسة الجمعية الوطنية للمحافظة على البترا بالأردن، والسيدة أرونا فرانشيسكا ماريا غوجرال، المديرة العامة لـ(إيكروم)، وعدد من القادة الشباب في مجال المناخ.
وقد أشاد الدكتور المالك بمبادرة أذربيجان الرائدة: “الثقافة من أجل المناخ”، التي تعد شهادة على الدور المحوري للثقافة في معالجة تغير المناخ، عبر دمج الأخلاق البيئية في الممارسات الثقافية والفنية، مشيرا إلى أنها تمثل دعوة جادة لإيجاد حلول مشتركة، وتوظيف الإبداع والفنون لتعزيز أنماط الحياة المستدامة، والترويج للمشاريع الثقافية التي تربط بين الاستدامة والسلوك الأخلاقي.
