رفض رئيس الوزراء الإسرائيلي بنيامين نتنياهو، تشكيل لجنة تحقيق رسمية في أحداث 7 أكتوبر والحرب على غزة، بعد أن طالبته المستشارة القضائية للحكومة، بتشكيل لجنة تحقيق في أسرع وقت.
ورد سكرتير الحكومة، يوسي فوكس، على المستشارة القضائية غالي بهراف ميارا قائلا إن “إسرائيل في ذروة حرب شديدة ولم تنضج الظروف والوقت لم يحن بعد للتحقيق في كافة أحداث الحرب وما سبقها”.
وأضاف فوكس أن “موضوع تشكيل لجنة تحقيق رسمية هو ضمن صلاحية حصرية للحكومة. والاجتماع الذي أشرت إليه في رسالتك لم يناقش تشكيل لجنة تحقيق رسمية”، مبينا أنه “جرى البحث في تشكيل لجنة تحقيق في الادعاءات ضد إسرائيل في المحاكم الدولية فقط، بما يتعلق بالسياسة الإنسانية لدولة إسرائيل في قطاع غزة بعد نشوب الحرب. والطاقم القانوني أوصى بتشكيل لجنة تحقيق في هذا الموضوع فقط، لكن هذه التوصية لم تقدم إلى الوزراء حتى الآن”.
وطالبت بهراف ميارا في رسالة رسمية نتنياهو، بالإسراع في تشكيل لجنة تحقيق رسمية بادعاء محاولة التعامل مع المخاطر المحدقة بإسرائيل في ظل ملاحقتها قضائيا في المحاكم الدولية لارتكابها جرائم حرب.
