قالت وزارة الثقافة المصرية إن الدورة الخامسة والخمسين لمعرض القاهرة الدولي للكتاب التي اختتمت يوم الثلاثاء استقبلت عددا قياسيا من الزائرين هو الأكبر منذ تأسيسه بلغ 4785539 زائرا.
وشارك 1200 ناشر من 70 دولة في المعرض الذي أقيم في الفترة من 25 يناير كانون الثاني إلى السادس من فبراير شباط تحت شعار (نصنع المعرفة.. نصون الكلمة) في مركز مصر الدولي للمعارض.
وقالت وزيرة الثقافة نيفين الكيلاني “إن دورة هذا العام حققت عددا من الأرقام القياسية غير المسبوقة بدءا من عدد الزائرين، وعدد الناشرين والعارضين المشاركين، وعدد الدول المشاركة، وحجم المبيعات المتميز، وتنوع الفعاليات، وحجم المبادرات، وغيرها من المؤشرات التي تعكس ريادة المعرض إقليميا ودوليا”.
وكان المعرض الذي تنظمه سنويا الهيئة المصرية العامة للكتاب قد استقبل في دورته السابقة عام 2023 أكثر من 3.5 مليون زائر.
وفي وقت سابق من يوم الثلاثاء، تسلمت سلطنة عُمان راية (ضيف شرف) المعرض لدورة عام 2025 من النرويج التي حلت ضيفا على دورة هذا العام.
