قال الرئيس الروسي فلاديمير بوتين إن هناك الآن إجمالي 300 ألف فرد من قوات الإحتياط الروسية التي تمت تعبئتها، وتم إرسال نصفهم بالفعل إلى منطقة القتال في أوكرانيا.
وذكر بوتين اليوم الأربعاء في إجتماع مع ممثلي مجلس حقوق الإنسان الذي عينه أن الأفراد الآخرين الذين يقارب عددهم 150 ألف فرد هم “وحدات قتالية إحتياطية” متمركزة في القواعد العسكرية.
وكان وزير الدفاع سيرجي شويجو أعلن بعد إنتهاء التعبئة في نهاية تشرين الأول/ أكتوبر، أن حوالي 82 ألف رجل تم نقلهم إلى الجبهة.
كما حاول بوتين أيضا التصدي للمخاوف بين مواطنيه من الإعداد لموجة جديدة من التعبئة قائلا: “بالنسبة للدولة ووزارة الدفاع، ليست هناك حاجة لهذا مطلقا إعتبارا من اليوم”.
