أعلنت الحكومة البريطانية، الخميس، تجميد كامل أصول 7 أثرياء روس، بينهم مالك نادي تشيلسي لكرة القدم، وفرض حظر سفر عليهم، على خلفية العملية العسكرية الروسية ضد أوكرانيا.
وقالت الحكومة البريطانية في بيان إن وزيرة الخارجية، ليز تراس، أعلنت اليوم “تجيد كامل أصول وفرض حظر سفر على 7 من أثرى الأوليغارشيين الروس وأكثرهم تأثيرا ممن ترتبط إمبراطورياتهم التجارية وثرواتهم وعلاقاتهم بشكل وثيق بالكرملين”.
وأضاف البيان إن الأوليغارشيين الذي تبلغ صافي ثروتهم 15 مليار جنيه استرليني (19.7 مليار دولار) تم معاقبتهم “في إطار جهود المملكة المتحدة الرائدة لعزل (الرئيس الروسي فلاديمير) بوتين”.
وذكر البيان أنه بموجب العقوبات “مُنعوا من السفر هنا ولا يمكن لأي مواطن او شركة بريطانية التعامل معهم”.
وتشمل قائمة المستهدفين، رومان أبراموفيتش، مالك نادي تشيلسي لكرة القدم، الذي تبلغ ثروته أكثر من 9 مليار جنيه استرليني، ورجل الصناعة الرائد أوليغ ديريباسكا، الذي يمتلك ثروة 2 مليار جنيه استرليني، وإيغور سيتشين، المدير التنفيذي لشركة النفط روسنفت.
وبحسب بيان الحكومة البريطانية، فإن العقوبات إستهدفت أيضا مجموعة أخرى من الأوليغارشيين في روسيا المقربين من بوتين.
