قالت الحكومة الليبية في طلب إستدعاء أمام القضاء الأمريكي، إن بنوكا عدة قد تكون لديها معلومات عن مليارات الدولارات التي “نهبها” الزعيم الراحل معمر القذافي، وفق قولها.
وبحسب ما نقلته وكالة بلومبرغ الأمريكية، أوضح مكتب إسترداد أموال الدولة الليبية وإدارة الأصول المستردة، في طلب إستدعاء بمحكمة “مانهاتن” الفيدرالية الأمريكية، أن:
الأموال التي سرقها القذافي وعائلته وشركاؤه والتي تقدر بـ100 مليار دولار، قد تم تحويلها من خلال 6 بنوك كبرى هي: “أوف أمريكا كورب”و”يو بي إس غروب إيه جي” و”إتش إس بي سي هولدنغز بي إل سي”و”كريدي سويس غروب إيه جي”، و”بنك نيويورك ميلون غورب” و”دوتش بنك إي جي”، و”جيه بي مورغان تشيس وشركاؤه” و”سيتي غروب”.
وأوضح المكتب أن عشرات المليارات من الدولارات على الأقل من الأصول المملوكة للشعب والتي قد “سرقها” القذافي وعملاؤه، لا تزال مفقودة إلى الآن.
وقال محامو المكتب الذي تأسس في 2017، بدعم من الأمم المتحدة والاتحاد الأوروبي لإستعادة الأصول المسروقة من الدولة الليبية، في بيان لهم يوم الخميس، إن هذا الجهد قد يصبح أكبر إسترداد دولي للأصول في التاريخ.
وكان تحقيق فرنسي تحدث عن شخصية تونسية غامضة تتحرى عن ثروة العقيد معمر القذافي الضخمة المزعومة، المقدرة بنحو 400 مليار دولار، والتي إختفت في ظروف غريبة عقب سقوطه.
وهذه الشخصية بحسب التحقيق التي تستخدم إسم “اسكندر” ولها شبكة علاقاتها الواسعة للحصول على الكنز المخفي.
