عبر الرئيس الأميركي جو بايدن الأربعاء عن معارضته شن ضربات إسرائيلية على منشآت نووية إيرانية، غداة قيام إيران بإطلاق حوالى 200 صاروخ على إسرائيل.
وقال بايدن للصحافيين ردا على سؤال عن دعمه المحتمل لمثل هذا التحرك من جانب إسرائيل، “الجواب هو لا”، وأضاف “نحن السبعة متفقون على أن للإسرائيليين الحق في الرد، لكن يجب أن يردوا في شكل متناسب”، في إشارة إلى قادة مجموعة السبع.
كما أضاف للصحافيين أنه سيتم فرض المزيد من العقوبات على إيران، لافتاً إلى أنه سيتحدث قريباً مع رئيس الوزراء الإسرائيلي بنيامين نتنياهو.
جاء ذلك بعدما أشار مسؤولون إسرائيليون بوقت سابق اليوم إلى قائمة متوقعة من الأهداف الإيرانية التي يمكن أن تقع في دائرة الرد الإسرائيلي “الكبير” على الهجوم الذي شنته طهران أمس.
إذ أوضحوا أن إسرائيل قد تهاجم مواقع استراتيجية في إيران، ربما يكون أحدها منشآت النفط الإيرانية أو حتى النووية، حسب موقع “أكسيوس”.
كما لفتوا إلى أن الرد الإسرائيلي قد يشمل غارات جوية بالطائرات الحربية، فضلاً عن عمليات سرية مماثلة لتلك التي قتلت زعيم حركة حماس إسماعيل هنية بطهران في يوليو، في حين رأوا أن هذه المرة سيكون الرد “أكبر بكثير”.
إلى ذلك أعلنت منظمة الطاقة الذرية الإيرانية أنه تم تأمين المنشآت النووية ضد أي هجمات.
وأعلن البيت الأبيض في بيان الأربعاء أن مجموعة السبع “دانت الهجوم الإيراني على إسرائيل” وتنظر في فرض عقوبات جديدة على طهران.
وقال البيان إن الرئيس الأميركي جو بايدن شارك في محادثات هاتفية مع قادة مجموعة السبع “لبحث هجمات إيران غير المقبولة على إسرائيل وتنسيق ردهم بما يشمل عقوبات جديدة”.
وقال رئيس المنظمة محمد إسلامي للصحافيين على هامش اجتماع الحكومة الإيرانية إن “إسرائيل تطلق دائماً مثل هذه الادعاءات”، وفقاً لوكالة “تسنيم” للأنباء.
يشار إلى أن إسرائيل كانت أكدت أن طهران ستندم على فعلتها، متوعدة برد حاسم ومؤلم.
فيما شدد الرئيس الإيراني، مسعود بزشكيان، على أنه إذا ارتكبت إسرائيل خطأ آخر، فإن رد بلاده سيكون مدمراً بشكل مضاعف، حسب تعبيره.
كما أعلن وزير الخارجية الإيراني، عباس عراقجي أن “أي عمل جديد من قبل إسرائيل سيواجه برد أكثر شدة”.
يذكر أن الحرس الثوري أعلن، مساء أمس، استهداف 3 قواعد عسكرية إسرائيلية، بينها قاعدة تضم مقاتلات استخدمت لاغتيال الأمين العام لحزب الله اللبناني، حسن نصرالله، مؤكداً استخدام صواريخ “فرط صوتية” من طراز “فتاح” للمرة الأولى في الهجمات على إسرائيل.
