يصوت مجلس الأمن الدولي، مساء الأربعاء، على مشروع قرار أمريكي يدعو إلى وقف “فوري” لهجمات اليمنيين على السفن التجارية في البحر الأحمر.
وذكرت وكالة أسوشييتد برس أن مجلس الأمن سيصوت الليلة على مشروع القرار الذي يدين هجمات اليمنيين، ويطالبها بوقف “فوري” لهجماتها ضد السفن التجارية في البحر الأحمر.
وأفادت أنه ورد بمشروع القرار” أن ما لا يقل عن عشرين هجوما للحوثيين تعيق التجارة العالمية وتقوض حقوق وحرية الملاحة والسلام والأمن الإقليميين”.
وفي وقت سابق اليوم، حذر وزير الخارجية الأمريكي أنتوني بلينكن، أثناء زيارته إلى البحرين من “عواقب” إستمرار هجمات “أنصار الله” الحوثية في البحر الأحمر.
وقال بلينكن للصحفيين: “أوضحنا مع أكثر من 20 دولة أخرى أنه إذا إستمر الأمر كما حدث بالأمس (الثلاثاء)، فسيكون هناك عواقب”، وفق ما نشرته شبكة “سي ان ان” الأمريكية.
وقد أعلنت جماعة “الحوثي”، الأربعاء في بيان تنفيذها مساء الثلاثاء “عملية عسكرية مشتركة بعدد كبير من الصواريخ البالستية والبحرية وطائرات مسيرة إستهدفت سفينة أمريكية كانت تقدم الدعم للكيان الإسرائيلي.
وقالت الجماعة، في بيان على منصة “تلغرام”، “إن العملية رد أولي على الإعتداء الغادر من قبل قوات العدو الأمريكي” الذي تعرضت له قواتها بالبحر الأحمر في 31 ديسمبر/ كانون الأول 2023، حيث أعلنت القيادة المركزية الأمريكية إغراق قواتها 3 زوارق تتبع الحوثيين ومقتل طواقمها، بعد إطلاقهم النار على سفينة تجارية ومروحيات للبحرية الأمريكية.
وصباح الأربعاء، أعلنت القيادة المركزية الأمريكية “سنتكوم” في بيان على “إكس”، أن قواتها أسقطت بالتعاون مع قوات بريطانية 18 مسيرة و3 صواريخ أطلقها اليمنيون في هجومهم الـ 26 ضد سفن تجارية بالبحر الأحمر مساء الثلاثاء.
و”تضامنا مع قطاع غزة” الذي يتعرض منذ 7 أكتوبر/ تشرين الأول الماضي لحرب إسرائيلية بدعم أمريكي، إستهدف اليمنيون بصواريخ ومسيّرات سفن شحن في البحر الأحمر تملكها أو تشغلها شركات إسرائيلية أو تنقل بضائع من وإلى إسرائيل.
وفي 18 ديسمبر/ كانون الأول 2023، أعلن وزير الدفاع الأمريكي لويد أوستن، تشكيل قوة مهام بحرية تضم عددا من الدول، بينها دولة عربية واحدة هي البحرين، بهدف مواجهة الهجمات في البحر الأحمر.
