إرتفعت الحصيلة الأولية للزلزال الذي ضرب المغرب ليلة السبت إلى 1000 قتيل و672 جريحا، بحسب وزارة الداخلية.
وجاء في بيان لوزارة الداخلية المغربية “في حصيلة محينة للهزة الأرضية التي ضربت مساء يوم الجمعة وحدد مركزها بجماعة إغيل بإقليم الحوز، بلغ عدد الضحايا، إلى حدود الساعة الساعة العاشرة من صباح يوم السبت 9 أيلول/سبتمبر الجاري، 1000 حالة وفاة و672 إصابة، من بينها 205 إصابات خطيرة”.
وقالت وزارة الداخلية المغربية، السبت، إن القوات المسلحة الملكية (الجيش)، تسخر جميع الوسائل والإمكانيات لتقديم المساعدات اللازمة وتقييم أضرار الزلزال، الذي ضرب عدة مدن مساء الجمعة.
وأوضحت الوزارة في بيان نقلته وكالة الأنباء الرسمية، أن “المصالح الأمنية والوقاية المدنية بكافة العمالات والأقاليم المعنية، تواصل تسخيرها لجميع الوسائل والإمكانيات من أجل التدخل وتقديم المساعدات اللازمة وتقييم الأضرار”.

ووفق ناصر جابور، رئيس قسم بالمعهد الوطني للجيوفيزياء (حكومي)، فإنها “المرة الأولى منذ قرن التي يسجل فيها المركز هزة أرضية عنيفة بهذا الشكل بالمغرب”.
وذكر المركز الوطني للبحث العلمي والتقني ومقره الرباط أن قوة الزلزال بلغت 7 درجات على مقياس ريختر وأن مركزه يقع في إقليم الحوز.
وقالت وزارة الداخلية في بيان “في حصيلة أولية أسفرت هذه الهزة عن وفاة 1000 شخص بأقاليم وعمالات الحوز ومراكش وورزازات وأزيلال وشيشاوة وتارودانت”.. كما سجلت إصابة 153 شخصا تم نقلهم إلى المستشفيات”.
وقد أشارت وزارة الداخلية إلى أن السلطات “سخّرت كل الوسائل والإمكانات من أجل التدخل وتقديم المساعدة وتقييم الأضرار”.
فقد بلغت قوة الزلزال 6,8 درجات على مقياس ريختر وفق المعهد الجيوفيزيائي الأميركي. وحُدد مركزه جنوب غرب مدينة مراكش السياحية على بعد 320 كلم جنوب العاصمة الرباط، حيث تسبب الزلزال بأضرار مادية حسب شهود وصور متداولة على شبكات التواصل الاجتماعي.
